Think + Remember

It is important to question and think (original) not simply retain data / information. Be sceptical and critically evaluate tangible (empirical) evidence. Explore your imagination and identify the profound and novel connections between the ideas and detect the patterns. This method is conducive to a constructive contribution.

_Principle - Scribbles to Live by+

1. ‘Happiness’ (define)
2. (stimulate) Imagination
3. Think (free)
4. Critical (Rational)
5. Original – thoughts / ideas
6. Identity (individual)
7. Environmental (Natural) + Social contribution
8. Live beyond ‘normative’ expectations
• ‘Freedom’ • Wisdom • Instinct > subconscious
Elaboration;

Remember you are a human being first. Always pursue ‘happiness’ you define. Develop the dexterity and wit of the brain so thoughts are executed with agile accuracy. Absorb wisdom and prevent errors. Explore, research and live – extensive experience; culture, history and human achievements. Do not fear ‘mistakes’ or being ‘wrong’. Do not waste time. Invest your time and energy into what matters to you and people who make you happy (help those you can). Never expect anything from anyone; they owe you nothing more beyond ‘legal duty’. Do not follow/conform to the ‘norm’, pave your own path and no ‘short-cuts’. Embrace your responsibilities (as a human being) and live with your decisions. Do not base reaction on emotion. Tangible evidence is objective, opinion is subjective (do not confuse with instinct). ‘Perception’ is dangerous and not necessarily true. ‘Family’ is not defined by blood type. Be honest and critical (constructive) of self. Your body is a fragile vessel; look after it as you do your brain. Do not gain at an unreasonable expense of/to others or the universe. Respect. Question and challenge everything, including the listed above.

Education

In an exhaustive attempt to avoid gross simplification; education should be available to all. The fundamental intent of any School is to provide access to tested, proven and objective tools which the human collective have discovered and developed thus far. Following exposure to what we already know, each individual should be encouraged/taught/inspired to *think* (emphasis on original thought), ask the right questions and utilise methodologies to draw upon logic and rational enquiry. Naturally deter bias and not just recite information (we have devices for that). Rather, aim to identify the connections and significance of the data. It is also apparent that we cannot simply rely on a/one faculty to teach us and our children everything. We are limited by time and capacity, so focus on useful lessons, what is important to you and explore.

Understand Context

Observe and investigate the environment and history of a place in intimate detail. Whilst this method demands time it yields an informed response from you by default. This method culminates opportunities for constructive resolve and reason. Avoid quixotic investigation - whilst recording your (subjective) perception of place is important, the fundamental logistics should be driving objective observation. Search for novelties - perhaps there are those that can provide feedback and direction through experience. Remember to test the connections. Exploring the core of your posed question(s) should be a theoretical and physical practice in unison.
