The True Cost for the Human Built Environment: Within the context of a physical world, whilst we design and construct thus ultimately modify the environment, we must always remember to be mindful of the true costs (beyond financial funding) and implications thereof: Energy + Resources + Time For registered architects, it is a legal requirement in England that is stipulated by the ARB 2017 Code of Professional Conduct and Practice; Standard 5.1. It also forms a crucial part of ethical practice in account of responsibility.
Intent & context: In 2015 a child was born; imagine a dialogue with this little spec of star dust. The intent is to reveal our thoughts and experiences as we venture through time (life), as well as explore the wisdom it has to offer with regards to art + science + space + architecture + engineering + technology. It is apparent that not all things can yet be grasped, thus begins the composition of our journey which we wish to share, not only with our child but also with you.
